Spring is finally in the air and there are lots of sorbet reciepes coming in the next couple of months, but for now I am giving you my favourite chocolate gelato recipe.. It is probably the dessertiest of my chocolate ice cream/gelato recipes and definitely one that plays well with other things, e.g. it is the “frozen chocolate creamy thing” I always use for fresh fruit desserts. And it is very good with a glug of olive oil and a sprinkling of sea salt.
Id highly recommend choosing a chocolate where you really love the flavour of the chocolate. I have kept it low in milk fat because I prefer having the chocolate flavour as unadulterated or pure as possible, but there’s also fewer places to hide behind sugar and dairy fat.
